Black bean rice bowls

This recipe outlines how to make ~6 full servings of my fantastic and super special black bean rice bowls.

This can be a small little caption to your photo and recipe.

Whatcha need

4 cups white rice (never have measured just a guess)

2 bell peppers (1 red, 1 green for color)

1/2 yellow onion

1 can unsalted black beans

Favorite salsa

3 Avocados

Optional: spinach for added serving of veggies

Optional: cilantro

Optional: shredded cheese

Optional: favorite meat (steak, chicken, etc)

Whatcha need to do

Cook rice in rice cooker  

1)

Sauté peppers and onions

Sauté spinach if desired

Cook meat if desired

4)

Drain and rinse black beans in a strainer

5)

Layer in bowls: ~3/4 cup rice, peppers and onions, spinach, meat, beans, salsa, cheese if desired, salsa, cilantro, 1/2 avocado (I like to dice it up in the shell and put them face down for freshness)

Microwave 2 minutes and mix all together when ready to eat
